First French translation of Caspar Bartholin's 1611 anatomical masterpiece, published by his son Thomas Bartholin. Bartholin’s ‘Anatomy’ became known all over Europe and greatly influenced the teaching of anatomy in the 17th century and was for many years a standard textbook on the subject.
