Double gilt line-borders on boards, gilt oramentations in each corner and a larger one in centre of boards (looks like a Grrek "g", ex-libris?). Leather title-and tome-labels on back. Back worn and rebacked, showing the new vellum (not same colour as the original) at about 1/3 of the back. Bdg. a bit soiled, but tight. Engr. frontispiece, 3 folded maps, 12 engr. plates, of which 5 are folded, a few smaller woodcut illustrations and woodcut vignettes.
