Rare first edition of the resume of the French hydrographic expedition in 1819-1820 to the coast of Brazil led by French naval commander and later admiral, member of the Académie des Sciences Baron Roussin. He did not write a general account of the voyage and the most comprehensive publication describing the expedition was Le Pilote du Brésil (Paris, 1826), making the present publication one of the very earliest.
M. Givry was the chief Hydrographer on the expedition.
